The purpose of this project was to provide comprehensive support to international election observation missions arriving in Hungary through planning and logistics as well as qualified human resources. A total of 48 trained volunteers took part in the work of delegations from five international organisations. Some volunteers were themselves accredited international observers, while others supported foreign experts as professional interpreters and escorts.

 

Our volunteers provided indispensable assistance in:

• understanding complex domestic electoral processes

• communicating effectively with election authorities and committees

• recognising systemic and isolated irregularities

and resolving the logistical tasks associated with observation.

 

This close cooperation not only supported the effectiveness of international missions, but also offered unique practical skills development: our volunteers learned international observation methodologies directly in the field. The knowledge and experience accumulated in this way strengthen the Foundation’s external and internal professional capacity and underpin the ongoing development of our domestic training and awareness-raising programmes.
